Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept insurance?
I am credentialed as an out of network provider for most private insurance companies. I will provide a super bill for appropriate services. Nutrition counseling is considered preventative care by most flex spending and HSA accounts. You can expect a concierge experience.
What is a food first approach?
My food first approach means focusing on a dietary intake of whole foods as the primary source of nutrients, optimum gut health and disease prevention. Food-first doesn't mean anti-supplement. Supplements are most effective when there's a true deficiency, at certain life stages, and when dietary restrictions are advised.
What if I don't know how or like to cook?
Rest assured that none of my clients chef all of their food. The goal is to create a plan that works for you and your lifestyle. I offer recipe tools, sample meals, food lists and meal delivery.
What is the typical cycle of working with you?
Most clients have at least two sessions over the course of 2–3 weeks. Results can take time. Your progress is the determining factor in terms of engagement. As an active client you will have access to private messaging outside of the session time.
Is additional testing required to work with you?
I utilize many tools in my practice including diagnostic lab testing. Additional testing is optional only and completely at your discretion. No sales pitch. No pressure.
