It’s the weekend. For most of us that means more meals out, gathering with friends, and parties. So much of our social lives involve food- typically the yummy tempting kind right? A healthy lifestyle should include these luxuries of course but YOU HAVE GOALS right? …and a big one is avoiding the post weekend bloat/regret/guilt on Monday.
Make the choice this weekend to feel satisfied not full. Have small portions of your favorite things and really savor the flavors. When you eat more slowly, you inevitably eat less. Dining “leisurely” allows you to wait for a sense of satisfaction to reach your brain. If you eat too quickly, by the time you get the signal, you may have already eaten too much.
Liquids don’t give the same sense of satiety as solid foods do. Be careful not to consume too much alcohol in a short amount of time as this will certainly lead to overeating.
Note to self: When I eat like crap, I feel like crap
